[Enter-talk] I Feel Bad For iKON After Seeing Them At ISAC

Idol star athletic championships is a very fun time and they played like highschool students, however during middle school and high-school they were practising … they couldn’t even practise for the athletic competition and couldn’t go on school trips before.. It’s iKON’s first time and i like it a lot… but i can’t help feeling a little bad for them.

– Ah.. i feel really sorry seeing this title…i feel sorry that they had to suffer so many hardships at such a young age, but then i saw that it’s about iKON being social with each other ㅋㅋㅋ ahh ㅠㅠ seeing our babies surrounded by each other ㅠㅠㅠ so cute…ㅠㅠㅠ

– Because iKON was practising during their school years, they now live a better life and earn more money than us ㅋㅋ

– They’ve been running around with ikonic at the concert for almost 4 hours… I was worried because I thought they would be tired, but they looked so excited and even won a silver medal ㅠㅠ

– iKON, your reality show with the Japanese students was really funny… it was the first time I had so much fun watching other artists ㅠㅠ

– It’s as if the brothers i go to the same school with are having a competition ㅋㅋㅋ

New Kids Repackage Album: “I’m Ok”

At last the details for iKON’s repackaged album have been released by YG Entertainment!

The repackage album comes with a new release title track called “I’m Ok” which is as the fandom expected since the boys have been obliging enough to spoil it for us weeks ago!

The “I’m Ok” announcement was accompanied by a moody and grainy black and white poster featuring the boys in suits posed around a black vintage car and giving off an extremely classy feel. The gorgeousness of the boys have iKONICs asking themselves if they are, in fact, indeed ok.

Interestingly, seeing that the image is located in a tunnel answered one of this year’s fandom mysteries concerning a missing MV with scenes from a tunnel based off posts made by Donghyuk in March. Actually the boys must have been pretty anxious to share this track and MV as they have been providing us with spoilers for months!

It looks like iKONICs will be starting 2019 well.

YGE Postpones iKON’s Repackage Album till Uncertain Date.

On Dec 23, a mere week till the formerly confirmed date of Dec 31st for the release of iKON’s New Kids Series Repackaged album, YGE has announced a reschedule.

YGE has cited “distribution” problems and apparently the date is being pushed to “around early January” with an official timeline to be announced at the oh too familiar timing of “soon.”

YG himself posted this information on his personal Instagram along with a screen shot of the album cover and, possibly because there is no material prepared to promote the album, a scanned page from iKON’s recent Arena Homme editorial.

iKONICs have expressed disappointment but have as a whole pronounced themselves far from surprised for the following reasons:

1. No pre-sale or even any details at all have been made available since the announcement 2 months ago till now almost a week to the original release date.

2. This is a repeat offence for YGE who even had to reschedule and delay iKON’s debut album.

3. This is YGE. They kind of have a reputation.

iKONICs have decided to turn their disappointment into proactivity by working on streaming iKON videos, “Killing Me” in particular and voting for iKON on end of year awards.

In the absence of information before now iKONICs have also entertained themselves with what we can now consider a tradition of making fan made promotional material to help drum up awareness for iKON’s incoming work during their company’s habitual delays in giving them adequate publicity. Some have even updated their material to reflect the recent news!

iKON meanwhile were booked and busy marking a 2nd date Dome performance at Japan’s Kyrocera today that was reportedly well attended. The busy boys have already flown back to Korea presumably for the SBS Gayo Daejun to take place on the 25th.

iKON will also be appearing at the V HEARTBEAT Year End Party 2018 in Vietnam on the 28th. Let’s keep supporting our best boys all the way!

First of all, this is to all the members, especially Kim Hanbin (B.I) that I’m going to talk about.

Fyi except one of two songs that iKON received as gift, for lyrics, composition, producing, recording, album producing, sometimes until choreography are all being taken care of by Hanbin (sometimes making choreo with other members).

Beside that he also participated alot in PSY’s songs, Blackpink’s Whistle, Winner’s Empty, Epik High’s Born Hater, etc.

Hanbin at the age of 12 did his music broadcast with the name of Indian Boy together with MC Mong. And finally at 18 years he got the chance to debut under YG.

I dont know how hard it might have been for Hanbin when joining survival show. How much the pressure when his 18 year self was being told to do song producing, choreography, until recording as the leader of the group. But the debut was failed (After losing from WIN).

After that B.I was afraid of being thrown away from YG. He wrote songs all day long in the basement. He thought that he couldnt let his hard working members down. But a year later, he was shooting Mix&Match. With a new pressure of losing a member who has been training for 4-5 years, a hell like survival started.

And finally, he debuted with iKON.

Hanbin really loves and enjoys music. I can see that. His grades (as in achievements) were good right after debut but got lower after it. People see it positively now but he must have gotten a lot of pressure in front of YG. On his solo song he said ‘I wouldn’t do music if it was only for the charts’. Even though he said that, I know that he has many burdens on him. “I don’t need good achievements and I don’t have music apps on my phone” he said. Especially after the success of Love Scenario, there’ll be more burden.

I can’t even imagine the feelings of Hanbin whose hard work got recognition through song writer award and SOTY.

Rough and free but let’s go slowly and last long. 

I won’t forget that I met you guys [iKON] in my life. I’m jealous of the you who has dreams. I respect the you who tries so hard. It was difficult for me to see you struggling but it is my pleasure to see the bright you now.

Me as a human won’t stop trying. iKON, and then Hanbin, your youth is my youth, I want you to know that you have to have fun with it. We [iKONICs] will stay behind you so don’t worry about falling behind, and freely do your music. I will always support you, and congrats for today.
